This work, "IN THE FORESTS OF LITHUANIA," includes an original poem I wrote after riding in a public bus in a forested rural area in Lithuania. I observed an old woman by the side of the road selling mushrooms to survive. Surrounded by ominous dark forests, the scene made me think of the horrors of the Holocaust and the dirty deeds that were done in the forest and hidden by the lush landscape. This book is set up so that one can get the feeling of walking through or being immersed by the forest.
