"My art is a physical working out of thoughts in my head, like thinking out loud but with my hands, not words. It therefore becomes a concrete documentation of what I’m learning and how I make connections to new ideas. Fishing for Answers is a physical metaphorical rendition of just that, as well as a play on parallel universes and tears in space. The connection I drew between quantum theory and old video game characters in How to Explain Quantum Theory in One Word: BOO is also a good illustration of this idea.
A simple ghost, or more specifically a classic one from a video game, that can appear and disappear as it pleases, and becomes solid and freezes when you look directly at it, is such an insane connection to draw to quantum theory. It’s a tiny ghost tethered to a cube. I’d like to think I put a little something for everyone in each piece. However deep you want to read into it, there’s something there for you. Find the connections for yourself."
